Resource/Recommendation and Summer Learning Series!

Jun 22, 2011 by Yolanda Fontanez-Coleman | On-Line Educational Resources

I  decided to combine our Weekly Resource/Recommendation along with our 2nd Summer Learning Tip this week. I thought it was a great one to share!

Take a look at Scholastic’s Study Jams Web site http://studyjams.scholastic.com/studyjams/index.htm. It’s a great place to learn about math and science! In fact, Study Jams provides information on more than 200 related topics!

Math topics range from problem solving and addition to geometry and algebra. Science topics vary from the universe and volcanoes to learning about the scientific inquiry and plants.

This site not only provides information, but also gives you step-by-step explanations as to how to solve problems. It’s very interactive and the visual cues are great for all types of learners! You can actually sit down with your child and review this interesting material all over again!

Study Jams can also serve as a springboard to help you launch your very own summer science exploring project! Simply review the site with your child, choose a science topic and plan out a wonderful project together!

Check it out and let me know all about the wonderful projects you plan this summer!

Happy Learning!!
