Inspired By Students

Over the past few months I have had the wonderful opportunity of attending networking events sponsored by Hatboro-Horsham School District. During these events I have met many new business owners, entrepreneurs and business professionals. It was has been such an enlightening experience connecting with new professionals. However, the most memorable and inspiring aspects of these networking events is learning about the innovative and exciting programs that are happening throughout the schools within the Hatboro-Horsham School District.

Today was especially inspiring! Some of the students from Keith Valley Middle School shared with us the wonderful work they have been doing with coding! In case you are not aware, coding is how we create websites, apps, and computer software. These students presented us with the work that they have done personally. We are not talking about high school or college students but rather we were presented with the work of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Not just any work, but amazing jaw-dropping video games, apps and websites.

As an educator, I can appreciate both the hard work of these teachers and the determination, drive and creativity of these students. However, the entire room of the business professionals were blown away by the work of these young talented students. Our job as teachers and tutors is to teach, inspire and help students achieve greatness and as I witnessed today, this is happening here at Keith Valley Middle School! What a way to start my day! Thank you to all the students who inspired me today! You all rock and I look forward to following the great things happening here!
