Summer Activities for Middle Schoolers

Create an engaging and education rich summer for your middle schoolers. Here are some activities that you can implement this summer that will keep your middle schooler learning and engaged all summer long! Keeping your middle schooler engaged in activities that fosters problem solving and critical thinking skills will set the foundation for a success in academics and beyond!

  1. DIY Science Projects: Middle schoolers can engage in more advanced science projects, such as building a solar-powered oven, conducting chemical reactions, or creating their own electrical circuits. These projects combine learning with hands-on experimentation.
  2. Coding and Programming: Introduce middle schoolers to coding and programming languages. Encourage them to learn and build their own computer programs or websites. Online coding platforms like Scratch or Code.org can be great resources for beginners.
  3. Creative Writing: Encourage middle schoolers to write stories, poems, or even start a journal. They can explore their creativity, develop their writing skills, and express their thoughts and emotions through words.
