I Wonder What It’s Like To Be Dyslexic

Sam Barclay is a recent college graduate who holds a degree in graphic design. He lives in the UK and has a project on Kickstarter that has over 1200 supporters. That number continues to grow and it’s no wonder. Using his graphic design skills, Sam has created a book that will help others understand what it feels like to struggle with reading. The book is titled I Wonder What It’s Like To Be Dyslexic.

On his Kickstarter page, Sam writes: “Failing to encourage those with reading difficulties in a way that makes sense to them can limit (and in many cases damage) their ability to progress. Great effort has been made to provide tools aimed at improving a persons reading but very little has been done to give those around them an understanding of what it really feels like to struggle in such a way.”

Sam is dyslexic and has created this project in hopes of having his book available for schools, businesses and homes. The book looks beautiful and I’m looking forward to getting a copy for my coffee table.

Check out his Kickstarter page for more information and a video featuring Sam Barclay. With the gift-giving season upon us, can you think of someone on your list who would enjoy this book?
