Our educational team has compiled a list of online reading resources that will help promote reading skills such as comprehension, reading fluency, phonics, vocabulary and more.  These resources provide lesson plans, games, interactive reading activities to foster the joy of reading. ReadWriteThink
This resource provides activities which foster all aspects of literacy: reading, writing, listening & speaking. ReadWriteThink provides high quality lesson plans and interactive activities to enhance your literacy instruction.
CommonLit:
Commonlit provides a variety of free literature genre for students in grades 3 through 12. Students have access to a variety of literary and nonfiction genres.
GetEpic:
Get Epic’s digital library contains over 35,000 books. Your child has unlimited access to a variety of children’s books. There is a monthly fee for $7.99, however, currently they are offering free access for 30 days.
ReadingA-Z:
Reading A-Z provides leveled digital books for students in grades K-5. This research based reading resources is a great tool for teachers, tutors and parents. Its a great reading solution to strengthen your child’s reading skills.
Readtheory:
Read Theory is a free reading resource that focuses on reading comprehension. This resource is excellent for students in grades K-12, ESL learners and adult students too. There is a great tracking tool that can monitory your child’s reading progress.
Spellingcity:
This interactive site helps reinforce spelling and vocabulary skills. This game based study of literacy skills can reinforce your child’s spelling or vocabulary lists to build their encoding skills.
Readingbear:
Reading Bear is a free resource that teaches beginning readers through phonics and vocabulary skills.
Starfall:
Children will have fun learning reading, phonics and math through games, movies and songs. This site is geared for students in grades K-3.
