Great Game Promoting Team Work & Strategy

In our home we like to have a family game night. This is a great way to remove ourselves from technology and just spend some time with our kids. This week we discovered this game: Race to the Treasure! I chose this game because on the box it said it promoted cooperative learning and it was developed by a company called Peaceable Kingdom. I could use a game that is going to promote peace & team work vs competition!

Well this game was everything I was looking for! I have a three girls ages 8, 8 and 4. The goal of this game is that all players work together to build a path to the treasure before the Ogre gets to the treasure.

We not only worked together but the girls were filled with such excitement and suspense each time they flipped over a card (as NOT to get an Ogre card). I haven’t laughed so hard and had so much fun with just playing a game with our family. The girls learned how to play together as a team, they really worked together at strategizing their path to the treasure and most importantly they had fun!
